John Deere's C&CE Division Service Publications Group chose IPA because of its ability to leverage the value of Deere's repository of existing 3D designs. IPA's interactive 3D web publishing capability helps shorten John Deere's product documentation generation time, increases product understanding, and speeds products to market in the competitive global market. The web pages generated by IPA allow John Deere to utilize its mechanical design data to communicate with those outside of the engineering departments. "Our writers use IPA to create renderings of our products directly from our design data instead of using digital photographs of expensive prototypes," says Lou Roof, Manager of Service Publications for the C&CE Division of John Deere. "We now have the ability to incorporate data into our publications from design packages such as SolidWorks and Solid Edge which are used by our suppliers." "John Deere understands the value that it possesses in its 3D design data and that the use of this data outside of the engineering department increases the value of that data," says Gregory Smith, CEO of Immersive Design, Inc. "IPA helps Deere's C&CE Service Publications group reduce the cost of generating its service publications while enhancing the understanding of its product design data." About Immersive
