The updated IPA WebView viewer has over 30 new features and API functions. To update the viewer on you system, just view the IPA WebView page. To download and install the viewer for embedding the latest version in your documents, use the link to the left and copy the IPAWebView.cab into the your install folder/Immersive Design/IPA

View an updated version of the default Web Publisher template. To use the new default template, download and unzip the default.zip file. Replace the folder your install folder/Immersive Design/WebPublish/default with the "updated" default folder. Version 1.0.0.84 or later of IPA WebView is required.

Using a 3Dconnexion SpaceBall®, SpaceMouse®, Space Traveler™, or CadMan® provides a natural extension of the functionality found in IPA for generating assembly, service or training procedures and interacting with a live 3D product manual using IPA WebView. 3Dconnexion's controllers are used in a two-handed fashion in conjunction with a standard mouse to help users to position and manipulate objects in 3D space much more efficiently than possible with just a mouse alone.

The text to speech output template adds the ability for IPA published documents to read individual assembly instructions, complete assembly or service procedure, or verbally identify part names. Version 1.0.0.88 or later of IPA WebView is required. Copy the gradient folder into the folder your install folder/Immersive Design/WebPublish. In the Publisher Wizard, pick the text-to-speech template in style the pulldown.

Combining 3D and 2D graphics, large assemblies can be readily used for interactive documentation. Using a template that focuses on portions of a large assembly, product designs with tens of thousands of components may be readily used.

With IPA v8.0, you have the ability to generate printed and interactive documentation with the same data source. Your 3D assembly information, animations and text are automatically formated in a MS Word document for fast and easy hardcopy output.

This example shows how Web Publisher documents may be used for creating interactive parts identification and catalog documents. Customization of the template html and javascript are required for a fully functioning parts catalog.

With IPA WebView version 1.0.0.84 or higher, your assemblies may be embeded in a PowerPoint slide. During a presentation, you may manipulate the view, select and identify parts, move parts, and modify visual attributes (VB programming required).
